Super Day at Flixton Girls School’s Vintage Tea Party and Fair to celebrate their 80th Anniversary! As soon as I arrived there were helpful staff and pupils on hand to direct me and even carry some boxes for me! It is such a lovely school that I was reminded of all the Mallory Towers books I used to devour when I was little….jolly hockey sticks and all that!
There was just enough time before the doors opened to enjoy tea and cake from The Vintage Tea Company, served by cute waitresses in vintage tea dresses! The Victoria Sponge was the BEST I have ever eaten, I am very pleased to share its name…..even if I did have to hide it behind my stall ;o) That’s the longest time it has ever taken me to polish off a slice of cake!
I made a Teapot and Teacup collection of items especially for the event and I am very pleased to say that they sold out! I’m glad I took a photo of one of the Teapot onesies first though, I’ve a feeling I will be making some more of these ones :o)
